International Student Admissions

Our application process begins here. Simply begin by filling out the application below.

  • Step 1: Application


    A completed application must include the following completed documents, in English:
    • Official School Transcript: A transcript of your courses, credits, and grades from the past three (3) years is very important to our review process. Please request that a copy (in English) be sent directly to Lutheran High School Association by email: international@lslancers.org. 

    • Recommendation from English teacher: Information from an English teacher will be used for admissions and placement decisions. Please request that each form be sent directly to Lutheran High School Association by email: international@lslancers.org.

    • Recommendation from School Headmaster: Information from a school principal/headmaster will be used for admissions and placement decisions. Please request that each form be sent directly to Lutheran High School Association by email: international@lslancers.org.

    • English Proficiency Testing Score: Please send an unofficial copy of the results of a TOEFL test (TOEFL Jr, IELTS, etc.) directly to Lutheran High School Association by email: international@lslancers.org. 

    • Proof of Ability to Pay: Please send a copy of a bank statement, such as a certificate of deposit in US $, showing parents’ ability to pay for the student’s education (you will also need this information to obtain a visa). Email to international@lslancers.org.
    • Photocopy of Passport: Please send a copy of the student’s passport to international@lslancers.org.
  • Step 2: Payment of Application Fee


    Submit the non-refundable US $250 application fee payable via FlyWire. 

    Applications will not be considered complete until this $250 fee is paid.
  • Step 3: Interview


    Based on the completed application, a student interview will be scheduled.
  • Step 4: Acceptance


    Based on the completed application and interview, enrollment opportunities will be determined by the LHSA International Program Director.
     
  • Step 5: Tuition Payment

    Tuition for the 2024-25 school year is $22,550.
    Tuition payment is due to finalize enrollment. After payment is received the school will issue the I-20. Failure to pay tuition results in a forfeit of enrollment.

    Tuition and fees are payable via FlyWire.
  • Step 6: I-20 Issued


    An I-20 will be issued for the student once the tuition payment has been received.
     
  • Step 7: Medical and Emergency Forms

    Download, complete and return the forms for your assigned school. All forms must be returned by August 1 before the start of school.

  • Step 8: Host Family Match


    If the student requires a host family, the family will be selected and information shared between student and family. 

    If the student will be living with a family member in St. Louis, this step is waived.
  • Step 9: Visa and Passport


    After the I-20 is issued, the student must obtain a Visa in his or her home country.
     
  • Step 10: Course Selection


    The school counseling department and the international program director will meet with the student upon arrival to determine course selection and class schedule.
  • Step 11: Arrival and Orientation


    WELCOME!
    • Students must plan to arrive in St. Louis, Missouri, one week prior to school beginning.
    • Students must let their host parents and the international program director know when they will be arriving
    • New students are required to attend all orientations.
